Today we went to Temporada de Tacos (Taco Season) which is a small restaurant run by two women and some cooks. This place is so good, every time we go to Mérida I cannot wait to go here. The interior is very different then other taco places or restaurants in general, but that’s what makes this place so good and unique. The tables are made of wood that are bolted to concrete blocks, the space is very airy and welcoming. As you walk in the staff are very helpful and understanding for someone that doesn’t speak amazing Spanish.
I ordered the asada tacos which is roasted pork (even though it tasted like steak) with sauteed onions. The tortillas stand out in the dish as they are made of native corn that is smoked.
The sauces they provided on the side were good, especially the minced green onions and smoked poblano pepper hot sauce. They even had ceative vegetarian options like roasted brocoli with jicama or roasted squash with an spicy onion and garlic sauce.
Even though the ordering process was confusing (I thought we were only ordering drinks when we were ordering food too), at 35 Mexican pesos a taco or about $2 USD you can not beat the price for such phenominal food. I would highly recomend this restaurant and I would give it a 8.6/10.

Myles I know all you care about is the food you biggie. But those prices are crazy save some for me
Move over Anthony Bourdain, there is a new critic in town! The place sounds great.
