The Red Hind or in latin the Epinephelus guttatus is also known as a Koon or Lucky grouper. You can find a Red Hind in the Western Atlantic Ocean in reefs, and rock bottoms.

The Red Hinds diet is 15% matis shrimp and they also eat crabs, fish, and octopus. The way that Red hinds hunt is by ambushing their prey, they hide in the reefs on the sand and next to structures and wait for their prey to swim buy then attack them.

Red Hinds have a red body color and tons of white dots all over its body and an almost a faint camo patern behind the red body color.

Red Hind are a very good eating fish because of their flakey and white meat and can be Baked, Fried, garlic roasted, and stewed. We Fried this fish and it tasted amazing.

We caught this fish with a hand line with a weight and hook with needle fish as bait.
