Portugal and Spain

Portugal and Spain were some of the most spectacular places we have been on this trip, we got to do some amazing hikes and we ate some amazing food.
Our first stop was Portugal and unlike the rest of our stops this was one of the most special for me. While there we did some beautiful hikes and spent some well earned time with old friends. Originally we were only supposed to be staying there one night but our friend, Madalena, convinced us to stay for two more nights, which was a huge upgrade especially because it is so special there in the small fishing town of Burgau. Portugal was so special and I would gladly live there and survive happily with all of the good food. Everyday there (no matter the weather) there were surfers riding the waves all day long. While in Burgau, we got to see an amazing school (not a typical school) built and run by one of our friends there. The food at Madalena's daughters' pizza restaurant was abnormally good and I would gladly eat it for the rest of my life.
Our next stop was Spain and to get there we drove directly from Burgau for 4 - 5 hours into the town of Cordoba, Spain where we did lots of walking around the small and narrow streets. We ate at a very expensive and exquisite Michelin star restaurant. Spain was very interesting because having just been in Portugal, it was very similar environment but I think that Portugal is definitely better. Spain was special in its own way.
In my opinion, Portugal is the winner for me even though both places came with wonderful memories and I would gladly go and visit both again, and hopefully soon.
