Today I went on a 7 hour fishing trip in Dzilam de Bravo where I went to a mangrove river in between two islands or "los bocas" as the locals call it. We caught jacks, ladyfish, and barracuda while getting eaten alive by gnats. I caught the two barracuda while trolling off our boat with a hand line rig. Our captain Cubano used his special rig of hooks combined with bait.
